Quick Start Guide
Get up and running in 10 minutes.
1. Sign In
Navigate to your Ridgeline instance and sign in with your email and password. If you don’t have an account, ask your admin to invite you from Admin > Users.
Forgot your password? Click Forgot password on the login page to receive a reset link by email.
2. Explore the Dashboard
After signing in, you land on the dashboard. It shows:
- Total sites in your portfolio
- Total turbines across all sites
- Total capacity (MW)
Use the left navigation to move between modules: Sites, Campaigns, Risks, and Projections.
3. Browse Your Sites
Click Sites in the navigation. The sites list shows every wind site in your portfolio with:
- Status (Pending, In Progress, Integrated, Archived)
- Location and ISO/RTO region
- Turbine count and total capacity
- OEM and SCADA system
Click any site row to open its detail page.
4. View a Site’s Details
The site detail page has tabs:
| Tab | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | Location, capacity, SCADA metadata, integration status |
| Turbines | All turbines at the site with specs and component details |
| Work Orders | Maintenance work orders linked to this site |
| Agreements | Service agreements (OEM FSA, ISP, self-perform) |
| Tag Mapping | SCADA tag-to-canonical signal mapping |
5. Add Your First Site
- Click + New Site from the sites list.
- Fill in the required fields: name, location, state, ISO/RTO, capacity, turbine count, and OEM.
- Add SCADA system details (system type, historian, data frequency).
- Click Create Site.
Your new site starts in Pending status. Add turbines and agreements, then validate integration readiness to move it forward.
Tip — For a detailed walkthrough of the full onboarding process, see How-To: Onboard a New Wind Site.
6. Add Turbines
- Open your site’s detail page.
- Click the Turbines tab, then + Add Turbine.
- Enter turbine ID, model, serial number, hub height, rotor diameter, GPS coordinates, and commission date.
- Click Create Turbine.
Repeat for each turbine, or ask your admin about bulk import options.
7. Start a DD Campaign
If you’re evaluating a site for acquisition:
- Go to Campaigns > + New Campaign.
- Name the campaign, select the target site, set the campaign type and stage.
- Click Create Campaign.
- Add component assessments from the campaign detail page.
- Use the Data Quality Scorecard to track completeness.
8. Check the Risk Register
Go to Risks to see all identified risks. Filter by site, severity, status, or category. Click Heat Map for a visual probability-impact matrix.
9. Model O&M Costs
Go to Projections > New Projection to create a cost model. Choose from Annual Budget, DD Pre-Acquisition, or Long-Term Plan. Ridgeline auto-generates line items from industry baselines that you can override with site-specific data.
